Who Should Consider A Kids Memory Wellness Test?
This test is for parents and carers who are concerned that their child’s performance in the classroom and level of focus may be being negatively impacted by potential nutritional deficiencies. In order to make sure your child is performing to their true potential, it is important to stay on top of their health. Their health is a key factor in ensuring that they have enough of what their body needs to stay energised and focused at all times. This test can give you a clearer indication of the efficiency of their memory. While this will not bring to light all of the possible issues with their cognitive function, it is a good place to start to have an overall understanding. It is also clear from studies, that the memory index works hand-in-hand with other vitamins, minerals and fatty acids such as Omega 3; all of which contribute to the overall wellbeing of children.
What is Tested?
Our Kids memory & Wellness Test includes testing the following markers:
Folate (Folic Acid)
The Kids Memory Wellness Test includes the testing of a range of key vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and more. All of these markers have specific roles which work together to enhance the wellness of the working memory, focus and concentration. Iron is a key mineral which helps the red blood cells transport oxygen to the organs body. When there is a lack of iron in the blood it may lead to symptoms of anaemia; this can include fatigue, weakness and more. This can ultimately contribute to a lack of energy and concentration whilst studying. Another key marker in this test is Omega 3. This Fatty acid is essential for the healthy functioning of the brain as it can assist the healthy communication between the brain cells. The Memory Index is also a key marker included in this test. This measures the ability to hold and use verbal and visual information. Children who struggle with their working memory may struggle to follow instructions and follow through with tasks. Another sign of a slow memory index is forgetfulness and sometimes even poor or slow academic progress.
How to Prepare for the Test
This test requires your child to be on an empty stomach two hours prior to their appointment. Water is allowed. If your child has a pacemaker, they will not be able to take the test. If your child is taking any medication, it should not affect the test, however you should check with your GP or practitioner to ensure it is okay for your child to take a test or fast. As this is a non evasive test, your child will not be required to remove any clothing. However, they will need to remove any jewellery from their hands so that it does not disrupt the screening.
In order to take this test, you will need to give us a call to arrange an appointment at our clinic. You will receive your results on the day, both printed and emailed.
